Your Individual Treatment Plan may draw on one or more of these speciality treatment options:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

The bedrock intervention for both depression and anxiety, CBT focuses on the way our thoughts create our feelings and influence our behaviors. In this type of therapy, we will work to identify and interrupt negative thought patterns by learning specific techniques to increase cognitive awareness and control. You will also learn skills on how to increase healthy behaviors and decrease isolation. CBT is a highly effective, structured therapy that is usually completed over the course of 12-16 sessions.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

This is a highly practical, fun, and skills oriented therapy that teaches you how to live in the present moment (mindfulness), how to manage your emotions (emotion regulation), how to be uncomfortable (distress tolerance) and how to maximize your interactions with others (interpersonal effectiveness).  It can be especially helpful for impulsivity, anger, personality disorders, or substance use issues.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy

PE is a well researched and effective treatment for trauma survivors. Oftentimes, when we experience a traumatic event, we find ourselves avoiding certain memories, places, people, or situations associated with the trauma. PE targets this avoidance through exposure techniques both in session and out in the real world allowing you to regain control over your experience and improve your quality of life.

Cognitive ProcessingTherapy

CPT is designed to help you understand how a trauma can alter they way you think about yourself, others, and the world and to help you re-calibrate this shifted thinking back into a more effective
